Honeywell Distributed Control System (DCS)

Honeywell Experion LX is a purpose-built Distributed Control System, in short a DCS. This process control system is derived from the proven Experion PKS.

Honeywell Experion LX focuses on mid-size applications with continuous and batch processes. The system is easily scalable: from a single C300 controller and a PC to a 50,000 I/O system, different controllers, server and station PCs.

Redundancy is possible at all levels: not only power supplies and controllers, but I/Os, network and servers. Experion LX integrates smoothly with instruments from all brands, thanks to standard protocols like HART, Modbus en Profibus. It offers advanced alarm management functions such as ‘alarm shelving, paging and dynamic suppression.’
